Fraud detection
FraudGuard
In development
Payment transaction scoring and analyst review for fraud teams.
FraudGuard scores payment transactions with a machine-learning model and configurable block rules, then routes them to an analyst console for investigation and decision.
What FraudGuard does
Features
Scoring
- Score single transactions or batches through a REST API.
- A machine-learning classifier returns a risk score for each payment transaction.
- Separate scores for authorisation, beneficiary, amount and digital trust.
- Velocity and behaviour-history features, plus a signal for many customers paying one account.
- A dedicated payment endpoint for third-party gateway integration, alongside score and action calls.
- Transfers where debtor and creditor names match are scored low and approved automatically.
Rules and policy
- Build block rules from 71 fields and 12 operators, with priorities, scheduling, duplication and rule testing.
- Define fraud types with per-type alert boosts and score thresholds, and tune thresholds with an optimiser.
- Blacklist and whitelist management, with expiry dates for whitelist entries.
Analyst workflow
- Work an alert queue with live updates. Claim and assign alerts, and bulk assign or bulk label them.
- Investigate a transaction, add notes, and approve or reject it.
- Search, look up customers, and run fraud analytics and analyst-activity reports, with CSV export of search results and reports.
Administration
- Keep an audit trail of transactions and admin actions, with an exportable audit report.
- Model management, CSV import, exchange rates with EUR conversion, user administration and service-health views.
How it works
A payment system sends each transaction to the scoring API, singly or in batches. The service computes velocity and history features, a machine-learning classifier returns a risk score, and block rules set by your team are evaluated against the score and the transaction fields. Transactions that need review appear in the analyst console, where analysts investigate, add notes, and approve or reject. Decisions and rule changes are recorded in an audit trail.
